What IA Landing Page?  

A landing page is a page on your brand’s website the visitor is directed to after clicking on an ad. Marketers sometimes confuse a landing page with a home page. It is very important to know the difference between the two and ensure your customer arrives at the right page after clicking your ad. A website’s home page can be the landing page if there are no purchases, offers or discounts being promoted by the brand. 


But before creating a landing page, ask yourself:  

1) What do you want visitors to see when they reach your website?

2) Who is your audience?

3) What is your competition doing to entice audiences?

4) What can you do in order to create awareness about your products and services?

5) What message are you trying to convey?  


Now that you have answered the fundamental questions, let’s get to the point. Here are a few pointers that will help you create unique, attractive and awesome landing pages that convert.   


1) Short And Sweet:  

A landing page should provide necessary information in a short, sweet and simple way. The idea is to provide information in a way that makes your audience read your content rather than in a cluttered way that makes them want to ignore it. 


2) Content IKey:  

Your content may have to be short and sweet but that doesn’t mean you compromise on quality. Ensure your content is high-quality, rich and useful. This inspires trust and helps build confidence. Use relevant words like ‘you’ and ‘because’ as ‘you’ helps to creates an intimate relation with your user and ‘because’ explains why a user should convert.  


3) Design IEverything:  

A clear, crisp design that leaves no room for ambiguity is everything. The most important thing to keep in mind is that all questions should be answered, information should be provided, navigation should be easy and nothing should come in the way of the visitor during conversion. 


4) Make Conversion A Cake-Walk:  

What is your desired conversion? A form submission? A purchase? A button? Whatever it is, make sure it’s an irresistible piece of eye-candy. Make it as easy as possible for people to convert and ensure visitors are able to convert with just a click. 


5) Attention Grabbing Headlines:  

A good headline is sure to grab instant attention. No matter how good your offer may be, if your headline is not attractive enough, people will definitely not make the effort to read through your offer. 


6) Customer IKing:  

Make it all about the visitor and not about yourself. Your audience doesn’t care about your desires and goals, all they care about is whether you’re capable of providing them what they are looking for. 


7) Mobile-Friendly 

Having a site that is mobile-friendly, doubles your chances of conversions. While creating your site, ensure it is just as awesome on a mobile as it is on desktop/laptop. In today’s mobile generation, having a mobile-friendly site is of utmost importance. 


8) Be Fast:  

Speed is essential as loading times affect bounce rates. An excellent landing page is one which is as fast as a Ferrari. Also, if your loading time is delayed, your visitor will leave mid-way without completing the task. 


9) Make It Colorful, Attractive And Persuasive: 

Lastly, build a page that is attractive enough to persuade visitors to convert. Have engaging colors and impactful information so they are instantly attracted towards the page. Also, use eye-catching CTA's that create a sense of urgency that makes them convert without a second thought.
