The OnePlus 2 hype has now pacified and therefore it is the right time to compare OnePlus 2 with its peers and see where OnePlus 2 really stands. Is OnePlus 2 the best Android phone? We leave that onus upon you to decide.
Comparing the specs-
The OnePlus 2 has a vivid and wide 5.5-inch display. However, OnePlus 2 lags in resolution and pixel density as compared to the Galaxy S6, LG G4 and Moto X Style. This is perhaps in line with OnePlus 2’s objective to provide better battery life. A small scale pixel density means enhanced battery life. And OnePlus 2 undeniably has the longest-lasting battery life compared to its competitors.
OnePlus 2 is a speedy device. The phone uses version 2.1 of Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor. There’s a drawback here as this chip is prone to overheating. The OnePlus team however, assures that OnePlus 2 contains a revised 810 chip that evades overheating.
The 16GB model comes with a sufficient RAM capacity of 3GB. The 64GB has 4GB of RAM. A sufficient RAM should allow smooth functioning of Android 5.1 and the OxygenOS skin without lag.
The cameras of OnePlus 2 models do not match the quality of Galaxy S6 or LG G4's shooters, though.
And many OnePlus fans have expressed disappointment on the absence of NFC feature, wireless charging and quick-charging. Also no facility to insert microSD card for storage expansion is a disappointment.
OnePlus 2 unquestionably stands tall against competitors in terms of lucrative pricing. A 16GB starts at $329. 64GB starts at $399. Moto X Style at $399, but for a 16GB model.
