Not Happy with the screen size of Samsung Galaxy S6? Samsung is going to unveil a bigger Samsung Galaxy S6 with 2 curved edges.

Project Zen 2:

Samsung is all set to launch a larger version of the flagship brand Galaxy S6 Android smartphone. The launch is set to happen later this year at the yearly IFA consumer electronics summit in September in Berlin.

Encrypted as "Project Zen 2," the Galaxy S6 Plus will possess 5.4-5.5-inches Super AMOLED display. Also to watch will be the stylishly designed curved edges akin to Galaxy S6 Edge.

Other specifications:

The Galaxy S6 Plus is said to possess Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 hexacore processor, 32GB internal storage, and 16-megapixel camera. It is also said to provide 5-megapixel front camera.

It seems that Samsung is following Apple’s strategy where it offers an iPhone 6 in two variants, one normal-sized and another larger, phablet-sized one.

Is it worth the effort?

Prior to arriving at conclusions, you may find your mind filled with questions doubting the Galaxy S6 Plus move. Samsung already provides smartphones with larger screens, Galaxy Note 4 and the Note Edge.

Having said that, S6 Plus if believed to possess the discussed screen size, it would fall somewhere in between Galaxy S6 (5.1’’) and Galaxy Note 4 (5.7’’).

This purports Samsung’s love for broad screened devices, though.

At the same time, Samsung is also planning to launch the Galaxy Note 5 at IFA with a 2K or 4K Super AMOLED display, octa-core processor and S Pen stylus. The rumored S6 Plus won't have a stylus!
