Yota Devices, the Russian manufacturing arm of its two versions YotaPhone and YotaPhone 2 recently announced an upgraded version of its second-generation handset. It promises on the lines of improved performance and significant software tweaks along with fresh black-over- white design.

What’s more? You will know as you read further and then you can decide whether it is good enough for you or not.

Easy to customize-

It is now way easier to customize the phone’s rear cover and apps displayed on its e-ink screen. It is a popular feature used by many to display various images as you can get covers in just a couple of taps rather than the previous six-step process.

All-new widgets option-

The all-new widgets option helps you make better utilization of the full-sized EPD (Electronic Paper Display). For instance, you can use the email one to stay connected with your Gmail inbox. Then there is YotaSports (powered by EuroSport) and YotaNotes for off-the-cuff listing of tasks and so on. There is also YotaEnergy widget which lets you know how much battery life is left.

GO social-

For the social enthusiasts, Yota gives you an option to go full screen with Twitter, Facebook and Instagram widgets over the rear display. You will also be fascinated by a Musixmatch music recognition widget and YotaFitness app widget to track your movements.

P.S.- The updates are not present in the white YotaPhone 2. You will see them in the existing black YotaPhone 2 devices.

Cool pick-

When you flip the phone to other side, to use its front screen, you will find Android 5.0 (Lollipop) and other Google features.
